Overview of School

Cranbrook is a pre-K-12 college private preparatory school in Bloomfield Hills, MI. The Cranbrook Schools are part of the Cranbrook Educational Community, founded in 1904 by publishing magnate George Booth, and designed by famed Finnish architect, Eliel Saarinen. The Community consists of the Cranbrook Academy of Art, Cranbrook Art Museum, Cranbrook Institute of Science, Cranbrook Archives, Cranbrook House, and Cranbrook Schools.

The approach to middle school education at Cranbrook is unique. Students in both the Lower (elementary) and Upper (high school) schools are co-educational. However, at the middle school level, boys and girls are separated into single-sex environments. I teach a music tri-arts course at both Kingswood Middle School (girls) and Vaughan Middle School (boys).
